We all have been forced to take the digital way of life these days, whether we like it or not. Now with the nationwide Covid19 pandemic and the Lockdowns, many of us are working from home.  figuring out how to earn extra money can be challenging and stressful. Whether you need to earn extra money to replace the income you lost due to coronavirus or you simply want to supplement your existing salary, there are plenty of creative ways to earn extra money—even during the pandemic! In this blog, we list out various ways to earn money online.


01. Freelancing 

If your goal is to start freelancing, you might feel ready to take ANY paid work on Fiverr or Upwork you can get your hands on. But as you get deeper into your freelancing career, you’ll need to start being more strategic about the types of work you do and the clients you take on.

If you were a prospective client and you needed someone to fix your email marketing so people actually sign up, write ads that convince people to buy, or just update your outdated website, would you rather hire someone who’s a jack of all trades, or a person who’s a pro at doing one thing and doing it well? I’ll choose the specialist every time.

Imagine you are just starting out as a web developer — you can get into a niche like transferring blogs to WordPress. That means when someone searches for “help with migrating a blog to WordPress,” they can find you. This works for graphic designers as well: you can do graphic design specifically for WordPress.You can also build up your portfolio on freelance platforms and freelance gig websites by working for a slightly lower hourly rate to start, and increasing it as you gain more experience.

If you choose the right niche, deciding to specialize and putting some effort into branding yourself as an expert within your niche can really pay off for years to come.


02. Sell your old belonging for cash

If you have an old tablet, computer, or phone lying around Consider selling it on sites like eBay, Swappa, and NextWorth. Selling clothes you do not wear is a guaranteed fast way to earn some extra bucks. Start by researching your local used clothing stores to see who is offering a sell by mail option in which you can post your items and either get store credit or cash or sign up for sites like ThreadUp or Poshmark and deal with buyers directly.

You can even open a clothing business and promote your products on Facebook Live. Nowadays customers enjoy watching live videos whether they are buying or not. There are a lot of scammers in this field as it is common to sell clothes online, some sellers use designer product pictures and deliver C grades replicas.


03. Make deliveries with UberEats or DoorDash.

Take advantage of people ordering in and sign up for a delivery service like Grubhub, UberEats, or You get paid per delivery, in most cases, earn tips.


04. Sell your lesson plans

With quarantine, many parents are now teachers who now have the job of making sure their child succeeds in their education for the remainder of the year. If you’re an educator or a tutor,  you can make up to $23 an hour just by teaching English online. All you need is to be a native English speaker and have a Bachelor’s degree or higher.  Consider putting up your lesson plans for sale to take the pressure off of them and cash in your pocket. 05. Be a Virtual assistant /social media manager

If you’re fluent and have the skills in all things social media platforms consider being a social media manager instead of hiring big firms, small businesses are hiring individual representatives to handle promotions and communicate with customers. Apply to virtual assistant jobs, in facebook job posts. You’ll create marketing content for potential customers for the company’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Behance.


While some of us have worked from home before the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s a whole new ballgame for those who haven’t. Even veteran remote workers may experience unique challenges during the pandemic: Trying to focus in an otherwise quiet home that’s now bustling with activity.
